To combat these new looming threats, two series-first weapon types make their debut in Toukiden 2: the sword and shield, a combination offering a solid blend of offense and defense, and the chain whip, which allows for fast-paced maneuvers that can quickly tear apart Oni flesh. Repel the soul-devouring Oni alongside Slayers from around the world in the game's rich online environment.Īlongside a fresh and captivating narrative, the addition of Western lore-inspired Oni adds intriguing new adversaries to the Toukiden series. Players' battle skills and strategic acumen will be put to the ultimate test as they strive to save humankind in a vast and dangerous land known as the Otherworld, a tattered landscape divided into six distinct Ages which each represent an era of Japanese history. In Toukiden 2, players will assume the mantle of a mysterious Slayer who has awakened after a ten-year slumber to a world shrouded in darkness. The game offers a vast open world, new combat elements, fresh online features for up to four players, and a brand-new standalone story. Should be a requirement for any PC port to at least have mouse support in the menus, I couldn't even use the mouse when making a character, and since none of the keys are explained I had to start pressing random buttons to figure out how to change some of the sliders.Koei Tecmo has announced that Toukiden 2, the latest entry in the gripping series of demon hunting action RPGs developed by Omega Force, is now available on PS4, PS Vita and PC. Probably stick with WASD, Q, E, 1 through 4, F and a few other keys near my left hand for most of it though. Heck, with my mouse I could map nearly everything to a button if I wanted to. The mouse would work really well for camera and some of the attacks. I tried playing this with KB and while it works, it's not fun. There's no reason it wouldn't work just fine here. There are a few where the controller is a good option, but as noted God Eater works just fine with a mouse and I've had no issues with the newest Monster Hunter game on my PC with a mouse/kb. Yep, I rarely want or need a controller for most games. You folks need to stop with this crap and realize the more options we all have, the better off games are. That said, it's a matter of preference for you, me, and everyone else. There is never an instance in gaming, not one single instance, where I'd ever prefer a controller. You have games like TOB, God eater, symphonia etc.so you should know which is better for these games. just try playing it and you will get my point. Nier has that option.for keyboard and mouse. Or maybe xbox controller because i never play a game with that controller. Overall the control is good and still enjoy the game.įrom this experience, maybe i can try ds4 because steam already support this controller. Sometimes i need to aim manually when using some skills. When im using gun, i just use aim focus to target oni parts. I don't have ds4 but I played toukiden kiwami on vita and never use gyro because its uncomfortable for me. They usually use aim assist to focus the target. But some players feel uncomfortable and disable it. Thats why new console controller like ds4 has gyro feature to control camera. Instead it uses arrow key which makes it impossible to control the camera with the mouse while pressing the attack buttons.įunny thing it isn't worse than a controller, it's exactly the same issue controllers have: you can press those four buttons or you can control the camera but you can't do both at the same time.
